Vodacom Invited Tenders for the Implementation of the Infrastructure Projects in Herceg Novi and Tivat

Following to a pre-qualification procedure Vodacom invited tenders to select two contractors for the infrastructure projects in Herceg Novi and Tivat municipalities.

Vodacom invited the pre-qualified companies (Apine Bau GmbH from Austria, JV Gintas/Zitas from Turkey, MPP Jedinstvo from Serbia, Ludwig Pfeiffer from Germany, Sade – CGTH from France, Celtikcouglu from Turkey, and SCT from Slovenia) to submitt their bids for the main tender to select the contractor for the ’’Water Supply and Saniation Adriatic Coast, III – Herceg Novi’’. The Tender encompasses works on the construction of the 33 km long water and sewage network with 13 sewage pumping stations in Herceg Novi municipality.

The tender due date is 17 June 2011 at 12:00 a.m.

The water supply and sanitation infrastructure project in Herceg Novi municipality encompasses the following:

-    extension of the water and serage system of the Herceg Novi Riviera (construction of the coastal sewage collector Jošice – Meljine, and the coastal pipeline Jošice – Kumbor),

- construction of the collector for effluent from the future WWTP with sea outfall in Meljine,

- construction of the sewage pumping station Meljine ''roundabout'' with pressure pipeline to the WWTP,

- reconstruction of the current coastal collector from Igalo to Meljine,

- reconstruction of the secondary sewage pipelines in Herceg Novi.

The Project for the construction of the water supply and sewage network in Herceg Novi is funded through a German Development Bank (KfW) loan, the municipal share of the Municipality of Herceg Novi , and the share of the Government of Montenegro.

In addition, Vodacom invited the pre-qualified companies (Apine Bau GmbH from Austria, JV Gintas/Zitas from Turkey, MPP Jedinstvo from Serbia, Ludwig Pfeiffer from Germany, Sade – CGTH from France, and SCT from Slovenia) to submitt their bids for the main tender to select the contractor for the ’’Water Supply and Saniation Adriatic Coast, III – Tivat’’. The Tender encompasses works on the construction of the 30 km long water and sewage network with 6 pumping stations on the part of the Luštica peninsula belonging to Tivat municipality, and in the settlements Vrijes and Gradiošnica.

The water supply and sanitation infrastructure project in Tivat municipality encompasses the following: 

- construction of the coastal sewage collector Krašići – Đuraševići,

- construction of secondary sewage pipelines on the Luštica peninsula,

- construction of  6 sewage pumping stations,

- construction of  Phase II of water supply transmission pipeline to connect the Luštica peninsula to the regional water system from Solila to the branch for the future reservoir Đuraševići,

- replacement of the main water distribution pipeline and secondary water supply along the coast  Krašići – Đuraševići, and

- reconstruction of the secondary water supply network with house connections in settlements Gradiošnica and Vrijes.

The tender due date is 17 June 2011 at 12:00 a.m.

Both tender procedures are fully conducted by Vodacom in compliance with KfW procedures. Prior to tender launching, works were carriod out on the preparation of the design and tender documentation by the German consulting company Dahlem from 2008 to 2010, what was followed by the review of design documentation, pre-qualification procedure, and the selection of the pre-qualified companies.

It is envisaged to sign the Contract with the selected contractors in late August 2011.
